It's easy to feel close to God when things are going well, when there's a reason to celebrate, or when we're with people who make us feel good.
When things are hard, like when we are alone, sick, stressed out, or scared, we may feel far from God.
When you have to face giants, it is best to have the Lord on your side.
I thank God for waking me up today. I implore You, Lord, to reawaken me tomorrow and give me the strength and safety of hearing the sweet voice of Your love. In a world full with temptations and problems, You offer me strength every morning.
Dear Lord, please remind me that Your kindness and mercy are always there for me and whisper Your love when I fail today. I pray for daily strength since I need it to perform my duties. Amen.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for always loving Your children and grandkids. Even though people may have a concept of where they want their lifeto go, Your word says You decide our steps. Please help me face my challenges. I know You'll guide me no matter what I do today. I need Your help staying focused on You as I travel through life. Help me live by faith, not sight. Amen.
A hanging brown Catholic rosary with the cross One of the first Christian leaders wrote one of the most striking prayersfor strength in tough times. St. Augustine's Confessions include a fortitude prayer. This prayer is still relevant after 1500 years. Lord, help us trust your wings. Please support us under them. You will carry us even after our heads are severed. Your strength is in protecting us. But self-confidence is weakness. We've gotten corrupt because we've gone away from you. Lord, help us return to you to avoid detours. You are our goodness, so you keep it alive. Since you are our forever, our home doesn't fall into ruin while we're gone, so we don't have to worry about never finding a home again.
I believe it is Your will for me to be healthy in mind, body, soul, and spirit, therefore please heal me now, Loving Father. Cover me in the most precious blood of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, from head to toe, and save me. Amen.
Please, God, give me bravery when I am afraid, strength when I am weak, love when I am forsaken, wisdom when I feel foolish, comfort when I am alone, hope when I feel rejected, and serenity when I am in turmoil. Thank you. Amen.
Help me trust you even though I'm terrified of the future while I'm down and hopeless. Help me stay quiet and remember that you are God. Be my comfort and peace. Amen, Jesus.
God shows us that when we feel weak, for whatever reason, he can be our source of strength and lead us gently toward peace. God tells us in Psalm 50:15, “Call upon Me on the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.” God is ready to help us even when we are at our weakest. His presence and the strength He gives you might come in a way you don't expect.
