He is the youngest child as well as the third son to be born to Karen and Pappa Kiszka's family.
He was raised in a musical family, as both of his parents are musicians by trade, so music was always a part of his life from an early age.

Greta Van Fleet was chosen as the band name by four Michigan boys. The origin of their name is a sweet one. They chose Greta Van Fleet after hearing Kyle's grandmother mention someone named Greta Van Fleet.
After hearing the unusual name, they decided to remove the letter 'N,' with the permission of the original owner.
Gretna Van Fleet, the name's owner, is an elderly woman in her 80s who lives in Michigan. She is also a musician who supports the band despite the fact that rock is not her genre.
Unfortunately, Kyle left the band in 2013 and was replaced by the band's current drummer, Danny Wagner.
